Glenn Brown 'Bring on the Dancing Horses (after Murillo/Murillo)' Etching

This etching is part of Glenn Brown's Bring on the Dancing Horses (2019) series,  published by Paragon Press. Taking portraits by the Spanish Baroque painter Bartolomé Esteban Murillo (1617–1682) as inspiration, Brown scans and digitally manipulates the images, overlaying several of them to produce a series of printing plates. The plates are printed in combination to create intricate spectral compositions comprising up to fifteen different source images and layered in black ink.
